post is basically in the title, me and my mate have started a channel where we do shorts (transitioning into shorts + main videos), we’ve gotten 700k total channel views yet only ~270 subs 
, and most shorts uploaded will typically get a couple hundred views within the first couple hours, and then spike and get up to 10k views. this is nice and we appreciate the amount they get but its annoying af to get literally exponential views and then get edged at 10k and not get anything above that
i’ve thought about stuff like retention and reception however most videos have at least like 80%+ retention rate (typically 90ish) and about 90% like-to-dislike ratio but our subscriber count is quite slow and idk what to do. i can provide analytics screenshots if needed but i appreciate any help if u can
